A note before you read on. Health information is a special category of personal data under the GDPR, which means the studio's health questionnaires are held to a higher standard than an ordinary mailing list. This page describes what actually happens and should be checked by a solicitor or a data protection adviser before it is relied on.

What we collect, and why

When you use the contact form

Your name, email address, phone number if you give one, what your enquiry is about, and whatever you write in the message. It is sent to the studio's email inbox so that your enquiry can be answered. That is the only thing it is used for. You are not added to a mailing list, and nothing is sold or shared.

The legal basis is legitimate interest: you contacted us and expect a reply. Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful and then deleted.

When you book a class

Your contact details, the classes you have booked and paid for, and a completed health questionnaire. The questionnaire covers injuries, medical conditions, surgery, pregnancy and anything else that affects how you should exercise.

That questionnaire is health data. It is collected because it is not possible to teach you safely without it, it is seen only by Jacqueline, it is not shared with anyone else, and it is not used for marketing. You can ask to see it, correct it or have it deleted at any time, though without it you cannot be taught.

When you visit this website

The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other sites. Your browser's light or dark preference is remembered in your own browser and never leaves your device. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.

Who else sees your information

The site is hosted by Vercel, and enquiry emails are delivered through an email provider and stored in the studio's email account. These providers process your information on the studio's instructions in order to deliver the message. No one else receives it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive it in a portable form. Ask at jcobbe@icloud.com and you will get an answer within one month.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, the Irish supervisory authority, at dataprotection.ie.
